First of all "non profit" means government owned--either directly or implied. If you are a non-profit, you live and die by what government dictates in order to gain or keep this status. For a media outlet, this is a flagrant and direct violation of the First Amendment and anyone in Congress or the White House that supports this (if it ever sees the light of day in Congress) should be immediately impeached and/or recalled by their states for such an act.
I wonder if Conservative papers(albeit there are very few) would also be eligible for such a bailout?? I would think not. And let's face it, the reason these papers are failing is BECAUSE NO ONE IS READING THEM!! They are miserable failures because the public can see right through the clear liberal bias in these papers and their writers. The OP/Ed pages are now being passed off as the "real" news and it isn't working. When people don't buy papers, advertising sales plummet and the papers go broke. Guess what? That's capitalism! That's the free market! Get over it!
And what does our goverment do with failing businesses that they think will benefit them? Pump taxpayer money into a failing effort-what else! What the hell, it isn't their money--why would they care??
Now that I think about it though, Obama and his liberal ilk hate the free market and competition, so it only makes sense that they would try to kill the successful ones and bailout the failing ones and remake them in their image. Liberalism is a failure and people that promote it are failures, so that makes total sense to me. To a liberal, if you can't beat success, then just try to kill it.

Obama: Appease our Foes, Hang our friends out to Dry.
Now that Barack Obama is well on his way to destroying the fabric of our country including our economy, our healthcare, our traditions and values, and implementing misguided military policy that puts our troops at risk, he announced today that he is walking away from the building of a missile defense shield for Eastern European allies like the Czech Republic and Poland—two countries that know first hand the iron fist of Communism as they lived under Russian tyranny around the time of World War II—and putting them back at risk from Iranian and possibly Russian attack in the future.
If that were not bad enough, he added real salt to the wound by announcing his decision on the anniversary date of the Russian invasion into Poland!! What an absolute disgrace this guy is!
And why did he do that? Because he is one-world collectivist that has no understanding of the nature of the threats that will face us if we don’t face down these threats now and protect the people in Eastern Europe that have fought along side US troops for liberty for decades! It was also done to appease the Russians who have been demagoguing this shield from the beginning even though they know it was never directed at them and in fact they were asked to participate in it from the beginning, and they refused.
He also did it because he wants the Russians to help get Iran to sit down and break bread and give legitimacy to another madman, Iraninan President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and negotiate his nuclear program with him because he truly thinks if he does that, the Iranians will suddenly stop their production. Just tonight, information has leaked out from the IAEA that Iran has the material and ability to make a nuke RIGHT NOW! Such negotiations will yield nothing except giving the Iranians more time to develop a missile to carry the warhead on so they can threaten Israel and other parts of Europe.
The former KGB agents running Russian-Medevnev and Putin—must be laughing and rubbing their hands together in joy at their luck dealing with such a weak, incompetent, and appeasing President. He is Jimmy Carter and Neville Chamberlain rolled into one and may end up getting countless people killed all to “improve our standing in the world.”
Part of the rationale the defense Department gave for modifying and overhauling the plan to something different, is that the Iranian long range missile threat is not nearly that great as originally thought and that short and mid range ones were more of a threat. They say this system will protect better from those threats. But those that disagree make a good point. The Iranian long range threat may not be there now (although no one really knows that for sure!) but by the time the proposed Obama system is installed, several years will pass and by then they could have that long range technology perfected. And then what??
Maybe Obama could get his friends at ACORN to shakedown the Iranians and Russians or better yet, “community organize” Eastern Europe so they can give the illusion that they are strong against the threats that could annihilate them! That's gotta be a better use of the billions of dollars they have received instead of using it for voter fraud, loan fraud, and importing underage girls for prostititution rings in the US...just a suggestion.

I Never Knew I was Racist!
That's because I am not, and neither are millions of my fellow liberty loving Americans!
Big government supporters are now truly losing it! Why? Many have gone 100% in the tank with the race card. The evidence is everywhere! If you oppose any of Obama’s huge government programs, such as nationalization of healthcare, then they will call you a racist.
They cannot argue on the facts or merits of the arguments. They are absolutely stunned that the public is not buying or go along with these Socialist plans like the drones they thought we would be. Even many former Obama supporters and voters are beginning to back away from him and polls are showing people just don’t trust what he is saying.

Of course Obama himself does not have to say a word about this—yet. He will allow his sycophants and the mainstream media to do his dirty work for him as long as possible. The latest 2 prominent examples are from the worst (currently) president in modern history, Jimmy Carter and Georgia Congressman Hank Johnson (D-GA):

If you go to a tea party or a townhall meeting you are racist and part of a "mob". If you oppose the takeover of auto companies you are racist. If you oppose the stimulus bill you are a racist. And coming up, I am sure if you oppose the Cap and Trade (or Tax) bill that the White House's own inside report shows that the average American household's federal taxes will rise by $1761/year under this bill, then you are a racist--more on that coming in future posts. And of course, if you oppose ACORN, you are a racist. I will also talk more about ACORN in the coming days as well.
This is their mantra and all they have now. They are desperate to deflect the criticisms back to everyone else and once again try to make themselves look like the victim.
I think I can speak for ALL people who oppose what is happening in this country now. We oppose the programs and the direction we are going in. We oppose and protest the policies and philosophies, not the person! It does not matter what race the person is that proposing these things! The aforementioned Jimmy Carter is a prime example. As I said, I believe he is the worst President in modern history(although Obama is starting to catch up) and the last time I checked, he is white.
We elected a black President and without white support, that would never have happened so give me a break on the “white racists that just can’t accept a black President”. These are vial and insulting implications and statements! There are unfortunately racists in all nationalities in the country, but they are a tiny fraction that should be marginalized no matter what color they are.
I think there are 2 possible reasons for these reactions. First, they are just stunned that the public is not being swayed by the “lure” of liberalism and not intimidated by Chicago style politics. Second, they are using it as a baseline and excuse for future crackdown on the population with the rationale being that the President’s safety is in jeopardy or for “national security” issues. The second may sound like conspiracy, but simply look at the policies and comments of Attorney General Eric Holder on guns and race, Homeland Security Chief Janet Napolitano’s “right wing extremist” study she approved earlier this year, and the internet security act that is being proposed in the Senate that could give Obama the power to shutdown PRIVATE computer networks. Obama and the UN: The New World Order Approaches!

The UN has come up with every scheme possible to take money out of the US taxpayers pocket including global hunger and global warming hysteria. Thoughts on Ted Kennedy and the Massive Tea Party!
Well it has been a few weeks since the death of Ted Kennedy. And as expected the main stream media has used his death in twisted, typical fashion to promote and push Obama Care as a “tribute” to him. In the tradition of the Paul Wellstone memorial, Democrats and pro-socialized medicine people are using his death as another reason to pass these bills saying we need to “do it for Teddy.” They even used a child at his funeral to press this agenda because of course you can’t criticize a child!
We also have had a popular liberal blogger recently say that maybe the death of Mary Jo Kopechne was “worth it” as a substitute for Kennedy dying in that car accident so that he could continue his “life’s worth” in healthcare “reform”.
By the way, my complaint is that the Kennedys (and all liberals past and present) have practiced their social experimentation and collective utopia dreams on the rest of us using the power of government and the tax code against our will in many cases. The policies of Kennedy have more than likely cost every working American thousands of dollars in extra taxes and bureaucracy over the years, held back the very people he claimed to want to help into generations of government dependency that really doesn’t help the person but secures power and control in Washington, cost millions of children to never be born through his 100% support of the abortion industry (which is ironic considering he was a “devote” Catholic), and his unwavering support for illegal immigration amnesty. Remember, liberals are only generous with other people’s money.

peaceful great American protestors showed up for the latest (and rapidly growing!) to protest and express their fear and disdain for the government’s rapid slide into socialism and bankruptcy that Obama and many Washington politicians (some on both sides of the aisle) are taking us all into. Main stream media of course GREATLY downplayed the numbers of people present saying it was only in the “tens of thousands” when video evidence and real ground reports clearly proves otherwise!
Main stream media also looks at anyone who protests the liberal, Marxist policies of Obama as racists, “birthers”, “tea baggers”, temper tantrum throwing (http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/09/13/ftn/main5307015.shtml)
, right wing extremists and other degrading terms instead of honest, hard working liberty loving Americans that they really are. They even went so far on CNN implying that the “dark undercurrent” of the protestors could be dangerous to Obama!
And the left howled about a few signs at the protest saying “Bury Obama Care with Kennedy.” I completely agree with this sentiment. But don’t you just love the double standard of these people?
Here are just a few:

Nancy Pelosi insults the CIA and calls Americans opposing Obama Care “Nazis”,
Jack Murtha (D-PA) called the Marines involved in the Haditha incident in Iraq cold blooded murderers before he knew the facts (all have been cleared since then)
Harry Reid called Bush a “loser” and “liar” many times and the “Worst President” in history.
Leftwing extremists made movies on how to assassinate George W. Bush.
And I could go on and on and on…
Liberals and the elite press will NEVER understand the ground swell that is building right under their feet. This swell will eventually blow up and they will be thrown into the ash bin of history as Conservatism ascends because the public is getting a first hand history lesson of what socialism really is! And they don't like it...

Obama Healthcare Spin Speech: To long, to short on details, full of fuzzy math, and still Unconstitutional
So Obama gave his latest campaign speech on Wednesday evening regarding healthcare and spun more BS on the nationalization and take over of healthcare.
The most glaring points that need to be noted here is that he still gave NO specifics or details on the plan. Even the Congress people in the chamber laughed when he said that the “specifics” need to still be worked out. Secondly, EVERY single government “fix” he talked about could be done with reform and expansion of the CURRENT free market private system without blowing up the private system that 80% of Americans with this coverage don’t want changed!
And as far as Congressman Joe Wilson goes, that man should receive a gold medal of courage for his “outburst” during the speech when he yelled out “LIE” during the speech when Obama insisted that illegals would not be covered in the legislation. This is a lie and Obama is a liar and the Congressman needs to apologize to no one as far as I am concerned. He did try to call Obama on Thursday to do so, but he only got to talk to “Rambo” Emanuel and not the President but apparently king Obama was going to graciously accept his apology…wasn’t that nice of him?? (maybe we should have another Beer Summit??) We need more people like Wilson in the Congress to call out socialism and liberals lies more often! Where was the left’s outrage when lib Congressmen loudly booed GW Bush in 2005 during his State of the Union speech (not a campaign propaganda speech like Obama gives every day it seems like) when Bush tried to warn everyone of the impending failure of Social Security without major reform such as partial privatization. Or when Harry Reid called Bush a “loser”, a “liar”, and “the worst President” we have ever have.

The meat of this posting will deal with the speech and counter or rebut the spin he tried to sell all of us. There is enough material in the speech and talking points memo he handed out to members of Congress just before he started talking—yes, talking points, not the whole speech as is traditional—to fill pages on this blog but I will try to keep limit to the most salient points especially since many of the points have been addressed in prior posts. Grab a cup of coffee or a beer before you read this—it may take some time to cover all his spin and, yes, lies.
Pre Healthcare Myths:
The Economy is Improving thanks to the Stimulus plan: FALSE. Unemployment is near 10% and actual unemployment (including those no longer looking or no longer eligible for benefits) is about 16%! Obama has asked to have the debt ceiling raised to $12 TRILLION dollars and his own budget deficit for this year stands at near $1.4 TRILLION alone! Only hyper inflation and sky rocketing taxes can follow this nightmare. Can you spend your way out of debt in your household?
Obama mentioned that the Congress has been trying to pass healthcare “reform” since 1943 when now Congressman’s John Dingell’s (D-MI) father was in the Congress. What more reason do you need for term limits!! And if it was so wonderful and needed, why wouldn’t it be done in 66 years??
Now for some of the health care myths:
30 Million Americans (or is 45? Or 47?) don’t have health insurance:
False. This number is always inflated to include illegal aliens, people who just choose to not buy insurance (that’s called freedom and liberty), and people who are transient uninsured for just a few months at a time. Sounds like a utopia, but again this mandate will cause premiums to explode even more. And severe rationing will take place as well. You just cannot cover that many more people for that many more services with the same number of doctors we currently have or could hope to add to the system.

Modernization of existing laws that truly allow competition is all that is needed. And Congress will not participate in this scheme nor do they have this type of plan now. They have a taxpayer funded plan that is managed by PRIVATE insurers they so want to demonize. And the Dems have already rejected an amendment that would require Congress people to have the same coverage as they want to force on us. Hypocrites!

As far as abortions, although the House bill doesn’t specifically cover abortion, there is nothing that bans it being paid for in the “public option”. And the only reason why they are not covered explicitly by the government now is because of the Hyde Amendment (names after former Congressman Henry Hyde) which prohibits federal funding. But this amendment must be renewed every year and Obama is a Planned Parenthood sycophant and receives lots of campaign money from the abortion lobby. So what is the chance this amendment would not be renewed under the Democrat Congress and White House that are clearly pro-abortion. Pretty good I would say…

The lawyers (like ambulance chaser and failed Presidential candidate John Edwards) will not allow it. There is just to much money at stake for them…

Since when has a government program cost “only” what they project?? In fact the numbers are usually 2-4x as much as predicted. We don’t have $1 to spend, forget about $900 billion more. And I love the class warfare and hatred of the military that keeps us safe from this guy. Many libs loathe the military and will always attack and gut it first to fund their social engineering.
And ALL Americans that pay taxes should get tax cuts INCLUDING the wealthy. In fact they should get more because they pay more. Have you ever gotten a job from a poor person?? We have nearly 50% of population that doesn’t pay ANY federal taxes now and the top 1% pay nearly 95% of the federal tax burden! How is that fair? (by the way, I am middle class myself and I want more of the tax cuts to go to the higher tax brackets).
So as you can see, this speech is full of endless spin, lies, and propaganda. I could have gone on for twice as many pages in rebutting these points but I picked the obvious and important ones out. Again, do your own research and form your own opinions. Even talking about such a scheme is frightening. Passing and implementing it will be unsustainable and I argue illegal via the Constitution.
The battle will continue either way and the lines will continue to be drawn even clearer with each day. We will see what the “final” versions of these bills look like but don’t expect any major deletions to occur. Some may be watered down to ease passage of the bill or cloaked in different language but they will be resurrected at some point by amendment or lawsuit, you can count on that!

The most glaring points that need to be noted here is that he still gave NO specifics or details on the plan. Even the Congress people in the chamber laughed when he said that the “specifics” need to still be worked out. Secondly, EVERY single government “fix” he talked about could be done with reform and expansion of the CURRENT free market private system without blowing up the private system that 80% of Americans with this coverage don’t want changed!
And as far as Congressman Joe Wilson goes, that man should receive a gold medal of courage for his “outburst” during the speech when he yelled out “LIE” during the speech when Obama insisted that illegals would not be covered in the legislation. This is a lie and Obama is a liar and the Congressman needs to apologize to no one as far as I am concerned. He did try to call Obama on Thursday to do so, but he only got to talk to “Rambo” Emanuel and not the President but apparently king Obama was going to graciously accept his apology…wasn’t that nice of him?? (maybe we should have another Beer Summit??) We need more people like Wilson in the Congress to call out socialism and liberals lies more often! Where was the left’s outrage when lib Congressmen loudly booed GW Bush in 2005 during his State of the Union speech (not a campaign propaganda speech like Obama gives every day it seems like) when Bush tried to warn everyone of the impending failure of Social Security without major reform such as partial privatization. There is enough material in the speech and talking points memo he handed out to members of Congress just before he started talking—yes, talking points, not the whole speech as is traditional—to fill pages on this blog but I will try to keep limit to the most salient points especially since many of the points have been addressed in prior posts. Pre Healthcare Myths:
The Economy is Improving thanks to the Stimulus plan: FALSE. Unemployment is near 10% and actual unemployment (including those no longer looking or no longer eligible for benefits) is about 16%! Obama has asked to have the debt ceiling raised to $12 TRILLION dollars and his own budget deficit for this year stands at near $1.4 TRILLION alone! Only hyper inflation and sky rocketing taxes can follow this nightmare. Can you spend your way out of debt in your household?
Obama mentioned that the Congress has been trying to pass healthcare “reform” since 1943 when now Congressman’s John Dingell’s (D-MI) father was in the Congress. What more reason do you need for term limits!! And if it was so wonderful and needed, why wouldn’t it be done in 66 years??

9/11/01 - 8 years. We Will NEVER Forget!
Let us all take the time today to stop and remember the 3000 souls that were murdered by those animals and understand why we can never let our guard down- as I fear we are starting to do today. Terrorists cannot nor should be bargained with under ANY circumstances-they need to be defeated soundly.
Today should be now and always a day of reflection and remembrance and not a "National Day of Service" like many on the left-including Obama- want it to be so they can continue to desensitize everyone and insulate us from that horrible day, in part, because they believe we provoked those attacks and in some sick way deserved it.Just look around today and ask yourself why we don't see those horrific images anymore, especially on main stream news outlets, unless they are scrubbed and edited.

Van Jones is out! The Obama administration very quietly in the dead of the night on a long holiday weekend, cut radical Van Jones loose and threw yet another one of his "confidants" under the bus when it is politically expedient to do so (see Reverend Wright).
The left of course is howling about it, but this was not right wing talk radio or TV that did this, it was YOU and I that did because of course the mainstream media ignored the whole thing as long as possible and then only mentioned it in passing and said he was railroaded. The new media was simply the conduit to bring these radical associations to light and exposing the true associations of BarackObama.
Believe me, the proof and evidence was everywhere and Obama endorses this guy's philosophy whole heartedly--and I am sure he still does! They are just mad that we found and and exposed him. Buh-bye Van Jones!!

Obama Makes The Case for Private Schools
I am not sure if I will be able to send my children to private school, but Barack Obama and big government education certainly make me aspire to do so!
The current motivation is BO's "inspirational" speech he is planning to deliver to the huddle, unwashed masses of school children on Tuesday morning because you parents out there are to stupid to raise your own children the way you feel is best so you need big daddy Barack to do it for you. Although I don't agree in principle wit any President doing this, if it were truly motivational, inspirational and non-policy related I would have no problem with such a message about staying in school/listening to your teachers/no drugs/no gangs, etc. But I just can't help shake the feeling that this is just another Big Brother propaganda moment for Obama.
Originally, there was an eerie pre and post speech "lesson plan" that the Dept. of Education had sent to all the schools that was of course "voluntary". This plan included having children right down "what the President was asking of me" and "how I can help the President" (or should we say El Presidente?). There were other disturbing points as well but after a lot of controversy about the what would be in the speech and whether parents would have access to it and maybe even opt their children out, the lesson plan was modified and the speech posted today.
After reading it several times, I am totally uninspired by the messages. There are half hearted messages about staying dedicated in school and some bad attempts at humour. Probably the most offensive line to me as a Conservative is: "You’ll need the insights and critical thinking skills you gain in history and social studies to fight poverty and homelessness, crime and discrimination, and make our nation more fair and more free." I didn't realize that history teaching meant fighting poverty and homelessness. I thought it meant teaching, umm, HISTORY!
But we don't teach true history anymore in public schools. In fact we don't even call it "history" anymore but "social studies". Notice the operative word here: "social" as in collectivism and socialism? So called history text books are grossly inadequate and often are void of true, objective, in depth, factual events, why they happened and what they mean today. Instead, they are a platform for social engineering and dismantling of traditional, critical understanding of the events that have shaped our world. Actual meaningful events that are included get little more than "blurbs"(such as teaching more about our Founding Fathers and their brilliant writings) and replaced with "progressive" views and criticisms of these events that keep new generations of kids ignorant on world events except for them being taught that governments are benevolent and know best.
Why do you think Obama and liberals want to "honor" the 8th anniversary of 9/11 by making it a "dedication to public service" day instead of reminding all of us what it really was--a vicious attack by animal Islamic terrorist extremists. Outrageous--but more on this later in the week! This is just another clear attempt to "desensitize" us and make us try to forget that there are evil people in this world with evil intentions that need to be defeated. They want us to think that we are to blame for their hatred and that we need to understand them instead of looking back on their radical history and understanding the true roots of their hatred.
Liberals WANT your kids in their government indoctrination centers, otherwise known as public schools while they send THEIR kids to private schools. Look at people like Caroline Kennedy Barack Obama. Both run around advocating against school vouchers and work feverishly to just throw more money at a losing system (see NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND!). In fact Obama's kids go to a private in school in the Washington DC area. This same school had a voucher program in place that was working great in taking hundreds of poor kids out of miserable DC schools and giving them a real chance at a private school. Obama CANCELLED the program (after this school year) and will force these kids back in to the failing schools.
Much like other liberal big government programs (such as health care), they HAVE to force EVERYONE in to their schemes in order to throw enough money at it--and it will fail anyways. Remember, it is ALL IN as far as they are concerned--collectivism at its best! And of course by forcing you into these plans, they need to raise your taxes even more which will keep you separated from more of your money and therefore not allow you to opt out of these government schemes. It is all part of the plan my friends...hold onto your kids tight and be prepared to de-program much of the garbage they will hear in school today and everyday.

IF IT LOOKS LIKE A DUCK…
Here is the latest way that Dems and RINO Republicans are trying to hide their true intentions with healthcare “reform” and thoughts on a few Obama czars ,etc...
Puke “moderates” like Olympia Snowe (R-ME) are once again getting together the Gang of Six- a supposed bipartisan group of senators- who are desperately trying to get a compromise bill out of the senate. What they are pushing is “trigger” wording in the bill that will allow the government to take over and institute a “public” plan if insurance companies do not meet certain “standards” place on them by Congress.
Questions:
How long will it take before one of these so-called “standards” are said to be violated? Watch out, don’t blink or you might miss it!
Who is going to determine these standards and how will they be enforced and who will decide if they are being violated? (I’ll take lawyers and bureaucrats for $1000, Alex)
This is essentially the same language that the current House bill has as well that I have talked about before. In that bill, if private plans are to be “allowed” to still operate, they must meet requirements and qualifications set forth in that bill. Of course a similar problem exists with them doing that: the qualifications and mandates will be so high that they will never be able to compete with the government plan and will henceforth be forced out of business and as I mentioned in previous blogs, simply bled dry by the public plan.
No one is buying this or being fooled by it. Their level or arrogance and disdain for public opinion on this matter are stunning! Stay tuned for the spin!!
And if so many rich liberals, both in the Congress and out, want universal healthcare you think that they could pool their billions together and launch a new health insurance plan that only covers the narrow part of our population that truly cannot get or afford health insurance. I think Oprah Winfrey, George Soros, and Nancy Pelosi alone could fund it for 10 years! But as I have said, this issue has never been about health insurance reform, but rather power, control, and taxes. If they can force you to live under such a policy, they can dictate virtually your entire life and be damned the 90% of Americans that are happy with their current coverage.
And while we are on the subject of quacking, how about Obama’s “green jobs” Czar Van Jones, who Co-founded a socialist collective, Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement, or STORM, in 1994, which held study groups on the theories of Marx and Lenin and dreamed of a multiracial socialist utopia (hmm, who else do we know that was a community organizer??) A man who once said that white people are purposely poisoning the environment to kill off minorities. A man who signed a “9/11 Truth” petition—you know, one of these insane groups that claims 9/11 was an inside job—and then said in a statement recently that he hadn’t really read the petition even though the title said “9/11 TRUTH”. (kind of like Congress not reading legislation before voting for it). This guy also called Republicans “a-holes” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuiM2xsV8Xs when asked by a woman at a meeting in Berkley, CA (no liberals there, huh!) why Democrats couldn’t ram things through without Republicans since they have the whole Congress now yet Republicans could when they were in charge. And a guy that believes that creating “green jobs” is just the beginning in “transforming our society”http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fh4Z0V0zNQg.
We are of course told by him and the White House that we can’t hold him accountable for things he has said in the past even though these were all very recent actions and while at the same time Democrats in Virginia are trying to demonize the Republican gubernatorial candidate on something he wrote in a thesis more than 20 years ago—typical left double standard.
Just add that to the long list of incompetent people Obama surrounds himself with:
Tim Geithner, the tax cheat Secretary of Treasury.
Carol Browner (Energy and Environment Czar) who once worked on the Socialist International's Commission for a Sustainable World Society, asking the global community must work collectively to address environmental policies.
Cass Sunstein (Regulatory Czar) who once said that animals should have the right to sure humans in court and also once suggested that all hunting be banned.
John Holdren (Science Czar) who advocated in a 1977 book that compulsory abortions could be enforced under the Constitution as a way of protecting the environment!
Charlie Rangel (New York Congressman) who is the Chairman of the powerful House Ways in Means Committee in Congress, which writes tax law, is himself now a known tax cheat for underreporting hundreds of thousands of dollars in assets and evading the taxes due. Rangel also played the race card this week saying that people that are opposing Obama care are ones who just can’t get over the fact that a “black man was elected President”. I am sure Nancy Pelosi’s House “ethics investigation” into this will be very hard hitting and bad for Charlie!

WARNING! Reading This Blog May Be Considered A National Security Threat!
The left, headed by liberals in the Congress and Barack Obama, are building a four legged stool for all of us to be pinned under. And when this dubious gift is completed, they will have succeeded in transforming our country into the Socialist and Marxist paradise they have envisioned. After all, Barack Obama himself said in his closed door meeting with House Republicans he met with just after his inauguration that he would rather be a one term President that got his agenda passed than a two term President who didn’t.
So what are the “legs” of this scheme?
Takeover of many of the banks, financial systems, and insurers. These include Bailouts, Stimulus, owning 2 out of 3 of the US auto makers, etc
Status: COMPLETED…
Nationalized Healthcare.
Status: IN PROGRESS…
Controlling the air and environment—via Cap and Trade scheme.
Status: IN PROGRESS…
And the one I am discussing here-
Control of Communications via shutting down opposition talk radio and controlling the internet in the name of national security.

It was revealed this week that West Virginia Democrat and loyal liberal, Jay Rockefeller and RINO Olympia Snowe (R-ME) submitted a “revised” bill to the Senate that had been drafted in secret for months. The 55 page bill allows the President to seize control of private computer networks during a so-called cybernet security threat!
This is unbelievable and unacceptable and must be stopped. Civil liberties groups—including the ACLU—have come out against this and internet companies so it is a clear violation of privacy. That is the understatement of the year! This is what Marxists do in Communist countries! Hugo Chavez in Venezuela just took over the media in that country for basically the same reason. But after all, Chavez and Obama are dictator soul mates and believe the ends justify the means when it comes to ramming your agenda through that, if the people knew the details of, what outwardly reject. Why do you think Obama wanted healthcare passed in August before the break?
Who is going to determine what a “threat” is? What will be the criteria for enabling this power? Who will monitor it? This is one of the scariest things I have ever heard any politician ever suggest in this country.
This is the ultimate means to control and shut up the opposition or anyone that criticizes the administration regardless of what side of the political spectrum they are on! All it will take is the administration to come to the public with a phantom threat from China, Russia, or otherwise and say he has to enact the power. Who will be able to question it?? Certainly not us!! The implications for this are so far reaching it is almost inconceivable and this is yet another huge usurpation of Executive power…
Mr. Jefferson and Mr. Madison must be getting queasy from rolling over in their graves so often in the last 8 months…

The “ME, ME, ME, Gotta have it Now, What’s in it for ME” Society Is Why we Have Big Government!
Sorry for the long posting title but I wanted to get that point across.
If you are like me you probably throw your hands up in the air and then pound them on a desk in frustration every time a new government social program, corporate bailout, or economic “stimulus” spending is proposed or, God forbid, passed. This pattern of course didn’t happen overnight—it has been building for decades. The most recent examples being TARP, Stimulus, Cash For Clunkers, Bank/Insurance Bailouts, Mortgage Bailouts, and of course now ObamaCare (and I heard today maybe Cash For Refrigerators!!). I am sure I am leaving many more out but you get the point…
Believe me, I am all about capitalism and wealth attainment through hard work and achievement but many Americans have been taught to believe that accumulating material things and taking on debt somehow equals wealth. It does not. Debt is debt and whether we are talking about buying a car or house you can’t afford or running up credit cards to buy the latest fashions and big screen TVs with no regard of your current or future obligations or thought about how you will pay it back if anything happens to you or the economy is the underlying problem. Like the decline of the moral culture, this is the decline of culture of personal responsibility—which is what is needed for a true free society to survive.
We then transfer that thinking into our governments and before you know it, we have bailouts, social programs, and financial policy that cater to the “gotta have it now and be damned the consequences” mentality. The worst manifestation of this is the fact that we are now TRILLIONS of dollars into debt and we are talking about adding more everyday. We then print or borrow that money and enslave future generations to pay back the debt because we don’t want to feel the short term pain that would come with “resetting” our economy.
Truly in a major way we have become a nation of wimps. But I have hope that we are starting to turn that back now and realize that we can’t always have it all, and that’s ok, as long as the government isn’t the one that’s deciding that for us. After all in the immortal words of the great Ronald Reagan, you don’t want to hear “I’m from the government and I’m here to help.”

We then transfer that thinking into our governments and before you know it, we have bailouts, social programs, and financial policy that cater to the “gotta have it now and be damned the consequences” mentality. The worst manifestation of this is the fact that we are now TRILLIONS of dollars into debt and we are talking about adding more everyday. We then print or borrow that money and enslave future generations to pay back the debt because we don’t want to feel the short term pain that would come with “resetting” our economy.
Truly in a major way we have become a nation of wimps. But I have hope that we are starting to turn that back now and realize that we can’t always have it all, and that’s ok, as long as the government isn’t the one that’s deciding that for us. After all in the immortal words of the great Ronald Reagan, you don’t want to hear “I’m from the government and I’m here to help.”

Bring on the Distraction!
Well the Obama family is vacationing on their $50,000 a week Martha’s Vineyard getaway in one of the most liberal elitist enclaves in the country. So much for the President who is for the people—while he lectures businesses and individuals that we can’t keep living or practicing business like we always have because we need to sacrifice more for the common good. Typical bourgeois liberal. Obama continues to shows up who he is by choosing to vacation in such a place.
And while the health care “debate” rages on in the country, Obama has pulled a classical Clintonian distraction tactic by having the Justice Department announce that they are moving forward with an special prosecutor to look into CIA interrogations of terrorist suspects after the 9/11 attacks. This is an obvious distraction to get health care off the front pages and is a clear reversal from what Obama and Eric Holder (the AG), not to mention it totally sells our intelligence people down the river and will ultimately make us less safe from another terrorist attack. But should we be surprised? Eric Holder is after all the Clinton administration hold over who got the pardon for the FALN terrorists who plotted to kill Americans and were on tape making bombs-120 of which they managed to set off in the United States and has said our justice system has always been “to hard on criminals”.
Of course, this is payback to the extreme left wing lawyers (see ACLU) and groups in this country that have total disdain for our freedom and loathe our military and would rather side with the terrorists than protect our homeland.
The administration will be handing over lists of the terrorists we are holding over to the International Red Cross. While the American Red Cross is an excellent organization, the International Red Cross is a left wing group and they will use these names as propaganda against the United States and provide fresh incentive to terrorist groups to mobilize against us and to try to find and free their fellow comrades.
Shredding the confidence of CIA personnel is extremely dangerous to our national security and just wrong. It will cause many good people to quit the agency and many more that maybe would have considered this profession to serve their country will choose another career—all because they do not want to risk being arrested and prosecuted and placing themselves and their family in jeopardy while defending their country. Morale will plummet in the agency! Are you willing to accept reduced security for a political witch hunt of the left?
Again, we shouldn’t be surprised. This is one of the few departments Obama is actually willing to make cuts in the budget—like he has with the whole military. Investigations have revealed that these cuts have caused corner-cutting in training CIA field personnel and again will lead to security short comings as a result.
The Inspector General is also about to report more criticisms of Bush administration tactics that the same Justice Department ALREADY HAD PREVIOUSLY APPROVED! More politics, less security….

Cash For Clunkers R.I.P.--Thank God!
UPDATE!! AUGUST 27, 2009:
For those of you that took part in Cash For Clunkers thinking you got a great deal (with other people's money) you are in for a rude awakening because the $4500 credit you got WILL BE CONSIDERED TAXABLE INCOME NEXT YEAR! OOPS! How's that hope and change working out for ya??
Doesn't our government inspire such confidence? Billions spent on another unconstitutional program that creates more problems and drives up other costs more than it could ever possibly save!
Consider these points:
1. $4 Billion (that's $4,000,000,000) of OUR money spent on a program the government has NO authority to spend. There is no $4500 "trade in" credit! Where do you think that money comes from?? We borrow it or print it, lend it to ourselves, then in debt our children to pay it back--all in the name of false and phony environmental science. And while we are on that subject, how much energy do you think it takes to destroy these cars or recycle perfectly good used cars vs. what we will save by not having them on the road? What about the all the fluids that will leak into the ground?
2. A program that will hurt the very people it was intended to help. How? Because by destroying the cars that are traded in instead of reselling them as used to someone that really needs a car at an affordable price, the prices of ALL cars (new or used) gets driven up because there is less of them on the market to buy. And what about all the used parts that could have been taken off these cars in a salvage yard and used to fix an existing car?
3. Car dealers across the country are screaming that they are not being paid and many were backing out of the program before it was even cancelled! And we are thinking of turning over our healthcare to these corrupt and inept bureaucrats?? Why do liberals have this blind faith in government when the evidence is all around that they can't manage their way out of a paper bag!
4. The hidden danger that has recently emerged that enrolling and taking the government up on this program opens up even more of your personal financial information to be captured and data mined by Washington. Oh, but I am sure that they will not use it for any ill purpose and will safe guard our information.
5. It's not hard to see a year or two down the road that we will be asked to bailout car owners that, instead of buying a used car or keeping the one they already had, went out and bought a new expensive car that they couldn't afford even with the trade credit (the subprime mortgage debacle come to the auto finance market!!).
6. Don't think this program is totally dead and buried! When the Cap and Tax (I mean Cap and Trade) program comes back into the news, I have no doubt this program will be reborn.
Simply amazing displays of utter Constitutional ignorance and incompetence!

Don't Support National Healthcare? Obama Says You're Immoral!
In his classic Saul Alinsky way, Barrack Obama is now quoting Bible passages saying that anyone who objects to Obamacare and dares to point out the disastrous portions of this bill "are bearing false witness." He is also preaching to us and religious leaders that they must hand over health care to the benevolent Federal Government because it is now a moral issue. He is again showing himself as the Chicago radical he was raised to be--more on that in a bit.
It is insulting that this guy who worshipped in the "church" of Jeremiah Wright for 20 years--one of the most racist, bigoted, and hateful people to ever speak in public and who was a mentor and teacher to him-- is now going to try and create a moral equivalence between charity and volunteerism and forced participation in a mandated federal program that a plurality of the American people have rejected.
And speaking of church, can someone tell me what church Obama is attending now?? Hmm, let me guess, he isn't! Do you remember right after the messiah was inaugurated, the fanfare the main stream press made over him and his family visiting area churches in Washington DC trying to decide which one to attend? How come we don't hear about that anymore? Could it be that, like everything else he does, it was all for show and marketing. You know, to increase appeal to all us bitter Americans clinging to our religion (that's what he said during the campaign). Do you not think that the sycophant main stream media would be covering his attendance regularly if he had? They would be fawning over the Obamas dressed in their Sunday best! Liberals do like religion-- as long as it's one their own that are practicing it. Otherwise, you are just considered a right wing extremist and a simpleton as they did with George Bush.

Told Ya So! Public Option Still Alive...
It looks like the trial balloon has popped! The administration had floated the idea that a public "option" was not the essential element of the bill. At the same time, they focus-group tested the word "co-op" instead, which I discussed is just code for government run.
As predicted, the wacko left in the Congress and activist groups were hooting and hollering about it and said that if there is no public "option" then there would be no bill. Folks remember, this is the MOTHER of all socialist projects and I take them at their word that they must have it!
Now the next trial balloon being floated from the Dems is that they may be willing to "go it alone" on passing this bill--without Republican help. I say GOOD, let them do it! They don't need the votes and if they think it is such a good idea, there wouldn't be any discussion with the right, they would have passed it back in July and been done with it.
The dirty little secret is that they want Republican support so when it blows up in our faces, they can say "hey you can't just blame us, the Republicans voted for it too!" So my advice to the Republicans is DO NOT cut any deals! Listen to the vast majority of the American people who are telling you not to pass this. Stick together and fight for true free market healthcare reform and you will win big in 2010! Cut deals and you will be the minority for a generation to come...

"Public" Option Being Dropped? Yeah Right!

It's a crock and if you believe that, then I have a bridge in my backyard to sell you. Here's why:
1. It hasn't happened yet! It's called a "trial balloon" in the political world!
2. Liberal activists and the Liberal Congressional caucus--especially in the House have said this is unacceptable and they wield enough power to push it back in. They have been screaming about it since the weekend!
3. Secretary of Health and Human Services(and proud baby killer supporter) Kathleen Sebelius is the one who floated that idea over the weekend on the mainstream media outlets. The White House quickly recanted that idea and said all options are still on the table.
4. The latest spin is that we would have "co-ops" instead of a government option. This is just a play on words and will ultimately lead to the same thing! Co-ops are FEDERALLY RUN AND FUNDED! It IS a public "option"...
5. Even if by miracle this is dropped, it would just added back down the road when no one is paying attention or slipped into another non-related bill...
The whole reason this is happening at all is because Americans ae much more unified behind opposing this nonsense like never before. The more Obama talks about it, the less people like it and we will continue to tell the real story of thier spin and lies about what is truly in this bill.And finally, and again, this is not and has never been about healthcare---this is about usurping power they do not have in the Constitution and is the ultimate power and money grab for liberals and Statists (thanks Mark Levin!). It is the Holy Grail of liberalism and Marxists. Do not argue the dollars and cents on this! It is about stealing the ultimate freedoms and liberties we enjoy and turning them over to BO and the gang for a false sense of security and promises that can NEVER be kept.Aren't you glad you asked? A Couple of More Things...
Here are a few more things in the ObamaCare bill your representative won't tell you about...
1. Page 132: Basically says that when you file your taxes, the IRS will be aware if you are in a "qualified plan" or not. If said plan you are in doesn't meet thier standards, not only will you have to pay a substantial penalty, but the IRS will randomly assign you to a plan! That's right, THE IRS WILL BE DECIDING YOUR HEALTH PLAN FOR YOU!! How's that hope and change working out for you?
2. This plan will provide incentives to move new physicians in training away from specialty and into primary care. And while this may sound like a good idea since we have been told that there aren't enough primary care doctors, it is being done strictly as a cost savings ploy. Ask yourself a question, if your life depended on a proper diagnosis of a diffuclt to detect condition, would you bet your life that the primary care doctor would find it? And the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) that cost estimates legislation such as this, has said that this will drive cost up more as people continue to over utilize the system and will more than offset any savings of preventative care increases. This is exactly correct as that is part of the reason why healthcare is so expensive now--because people will go tot the doctor for every small ailment, pay their copy and think that is where the cost ends.
About 70% of all healthcare spending is on seniors and the bulk of the remainder is on very sick people. So increasing routine care spending on millions of more citizens can only lead to rationing and/or skyrocketing taxes to pay for it and it is therefore unsustainable. A recent poll shows 80% of Americans are satisfied with the insurance and healthcare they have now.
LET ME TELL REMIND EVERYONE OF SOMETHING--THIS ANGER AND PASSION BEING SEEN AT TOWN HALL MEETINGS ACROSS THIS COUNTRY IS NOT JUST ABOUT HEALTHCARE! It is the final straw that broke the camel's back. The continued and incremental eroding of our liberty in exchange for some false government security is what citizens are reacting to. The other straws included TARP, TARP 2, Stimulus, Cash For Clunkers, Obama Motors, Cap and Trade (which is coming next), and every other over reaching of the federal bureacracy this has driven us to debt that right now tops $12 Trillion dollars--not including unfunded mandates in Medicare and Social Security. $12Trillion, that's $12,000,000,000,000 and counting. A Few "Tidbits" from the House Health Bill!!
The ugly details on the ObamaCare plan are starting to come out and I have been trying to read some of this gargantuan 1000+ page bill and doing other research. I will begin to post some of the items that Obama and others don't want you to know!! If you think you are in support of this garbage PLEASE read these postings and do your own checking. This is SCARY stuff!!!
1. Page 16: Once the legislation is enacted, it will become ILLEGAL for private companies to write NEW health policies.
2. If you leave your employer that is supplying you with coverage, you will NOT be able to get a private policy at your new employer. You will have to go into the public option (One of Obama's way of slowly bleeding the private industry dry over time and forcing you into a public plan).
3. Abortions will be paid for by the legislation (payback to Planned PArenthood and the baby killing business).
4. Illegal aliens WILL get coverage for FREE.
5. Union retirement healthcare funds will be SUBSIDIZED by you and I in this bill. (Obama payback to his union buds at UAW and SEIU!)
6. Pages 425-430: Elderly/Terminal patients will have "end of life" counseling and doctors will be be "compensated" for encouraging these conversations. Watch out Grandma, the Obama Death Panel is coming for you! Check out section 1233 of the bill.(Can you say "rationing" OR "Just go home and take the painkiller Gramps instead of getting the procedure")
7. Government "child counselors" can come into your home to provide child rearing advice to parents. But of course, it will be voluntary--yeah right.
And as an extra note, Obama himself has been quoted on tape prior to the election that it wouldn't be easy to eliminate the private insurance market, but he could "envision" a time 10-15 years down the road that it would be gone and a single payer in its place.
